E-Commerce Specialist
Alexandria Business Association is undertaking a project to develop and upgrade its website to allow business to business e-commerce between members. This will be accomplished through building of a comprehensive Members' database and the design of a website that will effectively accommodate e-commerce.
Description of tasks
General Accountability :
The achievement of the outputs of developing a database relevant to the success of the e-commerce and Portal for ABA members as well as the development of new demand driven and for fee Business Development Services for enterprises.
The coordination with other bodies and persons (consultants, subcontractors )
The development of (in)formal network between ABA members and with private sector stakeholders in and outside Egypt , in order to achieve the above outputs .
The reporting of project process .
Specific Accountability :
The comprehensive survey of ABA members , relevant to the database necessary to develop the members Portal and their e-commerce and hiring facilities as well as the new demand driven and for fee BDS developments .
As database manager, the candidate will built the database architecture , manage the entering of data , test the final product .
As e-Commerce and hiring developer and manager of these new members’ facilities, the candidate will manage the enhancing of ABA website and its links relevant to allow the ABA members to easily utilize effectively e-Commerce and develop their B to B sales as well as to find easier the human resources they need .
As ABA website improvement responsible , the candidate will manage the required experts in IT, design , …to develop a international quality level website .
Qualification required:
To be able to manage , monitor or do himself the tasks involved in his accountabilities described above , the candidate must have deep technical knowledge , by studies and his expertises ( minimum five years of experience ) in :
computers , basic software as well as in website , databases and e-Commerce building and management .
the specific enterprise information required to develop the e-Commerce database , including order fulfilment , inventory , shipping and billing .
the specific enterprise information required to build and update the members’ Portal , including e-catalogue items with graphics inventories .
communication and negotiation with both technical and non-technical resources ;database , e-Commerce , Portal , security ( information and e-orders / payments ) and maintenance procurements and technical evaluation of bids received .
The e-commerce specialist must be able to learn independently, adjust to rapid changes in business and technology situations as well as to remain updated with current software ( website servers and browsers , application-programming and graphics user interfaces , database management systems , e-commerce engines)
The candidate must be able to develop a pricing strategy that could ensure financial sustainability of the e-Commerce and hiring facilities and sell ad spaces in the Portal .
This is a one year assignment with possibility of extension.
